I was just out at the shops when I realised… I’ve never seen any of these people here before; I saw at least 100 different people and I’d never seen one of them before, except maybe the cashiers at my regular grocery store.
We go out every day and see hundreds of new people, most of which we have never seen before in our lives, or at least not noticed before. If you think about it, every time you go out you probably see at least 100 different people. Multiply that by several times a day, several days a week, etc. etc… That’s a shit load of people.
It’s somewhat comforting knowing that there are so many different people out there that like so many different things and have so many unique tastes and styles… at least one of them has to like something I create, and if we’re lucky then there will be more than one.
But I guess that’s the essence of marketing - getting as many people as possible to see what you do knowing that not all of them will like it, but some of them will and the more people you get to see it, the more people you will get that like it.
Fairly obvious, I know, but worth noting nonetheless. Have a great day.
